Historic Manassas:  A destination that’s steeped in history, filled with amenities, and convenient to everything.

In Historic Manassas, the past is present everywhere. Charming buildings dating from the late 1800s to the turn of the 20th century line the quiet streets. The stylish boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and museums that now call them home beckon you to come in for a closer look.

You can take a short walk from The Courts at Historic Manassas to the Manassas Railroad Depot built in 1914 and catch a VRE or Amtrak train. Arrive a little early and you can treat yourself to the exhibits depicting 150 years of railroad history in the depot’s James and Marian Payne Railroad Heritage Gallery. The Manassas Museum on Prince William Street interprets the history and culture of the Northern Virginia Piedmont region with historic artifacts and photographs, videos, and living history events that bring the past to life with period re-enactors in authentic settings.

After enjoying the past, enjoy today. Pick a country and enjoy its cuisine at a nearby restaurant or cafe. Get reacquainted with nature and recreation at one of the ten nearby parks. Explore the Manassas battlefields. Take in a performance of the Manassas Dance Company with its world-class dancers. Discover the old Hopkins Candy Factory and urban archaeological site on Battle Street. It’s home for the Center for the Arts, one of the most popular arts programs in Northern Virginia. Its classes in visual and performing arts, concerts, and art exhibits are renown throughout the region. The Cramer Center, in a restored church in the heart of Old Town Manassas, is home to Vpstart Crow, a professional theater company that stages five plays a year. The Loy E. Harris Pavilion at the corner of Center and West Streets is a year round source of family entertainment with summer evening dancing, afternoon concerts, ice cream socials, and ice skating in the winter. And the Farmer’s Market offers the best of local produce, baked goods and crafts in an open-air setting.

The same things that attract visitors from the world over can be yours every day if The Courts at Historic Manassas is where you call home.
